Technique Tuesday

Here are the samples of what we'll do for Technique Tuesday on September 23rd. The Techniques are graduating colors with sponging & tearing, spotlighting and faux dry embossing!! Notice I used the same stamp set for all of them to show you how versitile this set is. It is from the new catalog and is turing out to be one of my favorites. It is called Inspired by Nature. Be sure to respond to the RSVP and let me know if you can make it!!

Back To School Special

It's Almost that Time Again!

I am looking for 6 people to join "The Club". It will run from October 15th - March 15th.

Perks of being in the Club: You'll get a Free Catalog - and because you'd be in during two catalog cycles, you'd get the current one and then the new one in January!! You AUTOMATICALLY qualify for Hostess Benefits of at least $15.00 in FREE stuff AND one Level one Hostess Set for one of the months during your Club term. Plus, at the end of the Club, you are entitle to pick one item from a select group of items out of the catalog - My treat.

Terms of the Club: You agree to purchase $25.00 in merchandise per month (just under $30.00 total when you add tax & shipping) for a total of six months, during which, one of the months will be "Your" month and you will be the Hostess. You can either have an in home party, a book party or just let it ride. Having a party or book party will increase your sales and increase your benefits. You are only obligated to buy the $25.00 worth of merchandise, but of course there are not limits after that.

The New Catalogs are Here!! And SOOOO Much More!

After much waiting, it is finally here. The FALL/WINTER catalog. We can't start ordering from it until August 11th at noon, but we can certainly get those sticky notes out and be ready!!

Another exciting addition to the SU line is that we have teamed up with SIZZIX! Stampin Up now has it's own SIZZIX machine and we carry an exclusive line of Die Cuts! All SIZZIX die cuts will work in our machine as well as any other brands that work with SIZZIX. This opens so many possibilities!!!

Another noteworthy addition to SU, is a catalog in SPANISH!!! Throughout the catalog you will see a note saying it is in their Spanish Catalog, but there is a seperate one as well.

Keep in mind that all NEW stamp sets are DIE CUT!! Woo Hoo!! There is also a note next to each new set stating that it is die cut.

I hope I am not missing anything. There has just been so much going on in the world of SU!

So if there is a set you have had your eye on, check the page number and check the list. Retiring stamp sets are available and can be ordered until August 10th. After August 10th they are gone forever!

Christmas in July/Stamp Camp Pictures

As promised, here are pictures of the 5 cards and nugget box we'll be doing for the Christmas in July/Stamp Camp. Don't forget that this class will have four different times to hopefully fit into your schedule and if you can't make it that day, you can still purchase the package and do it on one of my Come Be Creative nights. This class must be pre-registered and pre-paid by July 1st so that I can have the sets ordered and everything ready for the class.

Wanna SWAP

cards that is??? I am looking for 10 people to do a Card Swap. What is a card swap? Well it is simple. Each participant makes 10 of the same card and give them to me by a date to be handed in. Once I have all cards, I will split them up so you get 10 different cards back! This is a great wway to increase your card supply or get new ideas. You must use Stampin Up! s stamp sets, however, I will allow any card stock as many of you are just starting to get into the paper part of SU. Keep in mind, the more SU products you use to make the cards, the easier it is for people to "Case" them. Also, include 10 recipies for your cards in case people want to duplicate them. A little slip of paper is fine. Nothing too crazy. List your products, including colors, stamp set(s) used etc and if you used a special technique you may want to mention it.

Let me know soon if you'd like to join so we can start. I will be taking one of the spots, so there are only 9 left!!

PS. My Festive Favorites set should finally be in today. I'll make up the samples for Christmas in July and get them posted ASAP!!

Christmas In July/Stamp Camp

There was a delay in getting me my Festive Favorites stamp set, due to weather in Illinois! I still don't have it - I'm hoping to see it the beginning of this week. So I haven't gotten the samples to show you yet. However, the set is on page 35 of the Spring/Summer Catalog. I am going to send out the EVITE today so that we can get the ball moving on signing up. As soon as I get the set in, I'll do the samples and post them! Be on the look out for it!! This class NEEDS TO BE PRE-PAID as I will order the sets two weeks prior to the class date.

Stamp Camp/Christmas In July

By popular demand I am having a Stamp Camp/Christmas in July. Date to be determined. I will offer three time slots as that seemed to work the last time. 10:00am - 12:00pm, 1:00pm - 3:00pm and 4:00pm-6:00pm. I just wanted to give you a sneak peak into the set we will be using. Festive Favorites will be the set on page 35 of the current catalog.

The cost of the event will be $40.00 (includes s&h & tax). This needs to be pre-paid in order for the sets to be ordered.

What is included? You will receive the Festive Favorites stamp set, plus, you will come and make five different cards and one "Nugget" box using only this set. I will have all materials for these 6 projects pre-cut and ready to assemble.

You can then decide which of these cards will be your Christmas card and make as many as you need with your new set. I will have a limited supply of additional paper available for you to purchase that day to make these cards. If I don't have it, we can order it then and you'll be all set.

I will be sending out an Evite to everyone on my mailing list as this event needs to be pre-paid. I will order the sets prior to the event so they will be here in time. This means I'll need to adhere to a strict deadline to sign up. So think about it now. Please pass this along to anyone else you think would be interested.

I have just ordered my set today. As soon as I get it, I will create and post the 5 cards and nugget box for you to see what we will be doing. I will send the Evite at the same time, so be sure to check back when you get your invite!

What's with this weather??

I was hoping we were going to get some Spring weather. This cold rainy stuff is just not fun!

I just got word the the Hodgepodge Hardware finishes will be retiring June 30th!!! If you love the Hodgepodge Hardware as much as I do, you may want to stock up on it before then!! It sounds like there may be replacement finishes, but I am not positive about this and I really like the ones now.

I’m looking for 6 people to become “club members” and commit to spending $25/every month for 6 months.

As a club member, each person would get their turn at being the workshop “hostess”, and receive hostess benefits based on that month’s sales. You can choose to have an actual workshop at your house (and invite some additional friends to boost your month’s workshop total - increasing your hostess benefits), or have the workshop at my house, or avoid the whole workshop thing and just call or email your orders in. As the hostess of the month, this would be your choice.


The Advantages:
* Upon joining, each member immediately receives a copy of Stampin’ Up!®’s 2007-2008 Idea Book & Catalog.
* You’ll also receive hostess benefits for your month. (Minimum benefits include at least one free stamp set and $15 in merchandise.)
* You’ll have the chance to purchase many different stamps and accessories over time, instead of investing all at once.
* The opportunity to learn new techniques and ideas if a workshop or a demonstration is elected.

I wanted to send out a special thank you to all of you who made the trek out last night in the snow to my monthly scrap night. Somehow, I just seem to pick the worst weather to have these things. I hope you enjoyed the project and got a lot done. I had a lot of fun and the food was really great. Thanks!

Sale-A-Bration

I know I have been talking the heck out of SAB, but it IS the BEST promotion SU has to offer. I just wanted to remind everyone that for EVERY $50 in merchandise you purchase, you get to pick a FREE set out of the SAB Brochure. If you don't have $50 in merchandise to order, you can always ask a friend to go in on it with you to get there! It is a great opportunity to add to your collection. If you are like me, you get together with your friends to scrap & card make, so that extra set would really come in handy to both of you!! I'm Learning

I knew I'd figure out how to put pictures on this blog eventually!!!

Can you tell which card I used the Rub-On's on?? It is the one with the heart and red ribbon! Pretty cool, huh!?!? The card with the deer, I used the sponging technique and the Noble Deer set. The bookmark was made using the set Embrace Life and blender pens and the Friends card was made with the Level 3 Hostess set Time Well Spent, using Crystal effects, brads and markers.

Card Swap

A little information on a card swap......Depending on the number of people who are interested, I'll base it on 12 - you each make 12 of the same card preferrably (but not limited to) using SU products so that it can be easily duplicated (include a recipe), send or give it to me by the deadline due date. When I have all the cards, I will seperate all the cards and deliver or send them to you. For those of you mailing in your entries, you would include a self addressed pre-paid envelope in the amount it cost you to mail it to me. Swaps not only give you great ideas, but several pre-made cards to give out as needed.

Every Day Life

It has been one of those weeks. I am sure all you mom's out there can relate. Between, school, sports, PTA, Daisy's and every day stuff, it has been quite hectic. Tonight our PTA is putting on a Family Fun Night. Of course I have volunteered to help out. I picked up Sarah from school today, brought the kids to Mc Donald's for lunch, they were complete animals!, went back to the school to set up for tonight, the kids were absolutely insane, got back home just as our replacement doors were being delivered, put ALL the kids down for a nap and need to head back to school as soon as they are all up to finish setting up and then be ready at the admissions table at 5:30pm. This was all after getting Sarah up and on the bus by 7:45am, feeding and dressing Nate & Ethan, working out for an hour, showering and amusing the boys until we had to leave 11:00am to pick up Sarah because she had a half day at school. It seems that every day has been this way recently. Are the days getting shorter or are there just that many things to do.

Well now that I have vented, I thought I'd get down to business. We are two weeks in to the Sale-A-Bration promotion and I am very excited that so many of you are taking advantage of all the FREE sets you can earn. So far I have gotten So Many Scallops and the Rub-Ons. I am loving the rub-ons!! I actually did them on an egg for a Demonstration and it came out great. It is much neater than using crayons to decorate your eggs. Just dye your eggs as usual and rub on a design. SOOOOOO simple and even more cute!!! I also did an entire card with rub-ons. It looked really cool. I will take a picture and see if I can download it on the site for you to see! I am very excited about them!! I am still a rookie at this blog thing, so please bear with me.

I think that is it for now. It is all quiet and I am hoping to maybe get a 15 minute power nap after I got take the picture of the card and egg.

STAMPIN CLUB

For those of you who are interested in purchasing Stampin Up products, but want to do it over time, consider joining my Stampin Club. Six people are needed to get the Club started. When I have six commitments, the Club starts. You don't necessarily need to know the people in the Club, however, if you have five other friends that would be interested, that works too. All orders are placed with/through me and can either be shipped directly to you or to me for distribution. The rules are: You commit to purchasing $25.00 in merchandise per month over a six month period. All orders are due on or before the 15th of the month. The order goes in on the 15th. During the six month period, you will be the Hostess for one of those months and receive all the benefits without doing anything other than placing your $25.00 order each month. If you'd like to increase your months Hostess Benefits, you can either pass your catalog around to get outside orders or Host a party (your house or mine). Welcome to my Blog!

Hello Everyone,

This is the first post on my blog. Please bear with me as learn how to actually use it!

First, I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself to you in case you aren't familiar with me. My name is Chris and I have been a Stampin Up Demonstrator since May of 2007. However, I have been addicted to Stampin Up since 2001. I am a mother of three; Sarah, Nate and Ethan. I have become a Stampin Up consultant to allow me to be home with my kids during the day and earn a little extra spending money, not to mention meeting wonderful new people and supporting my ever growing hobby. For those of you who have been in my basement Stampin Studio, you'll know how what I am talking about.

I am hoping that this blog will serve as an informative place for you to come and see what is new with Stampin Up and my specials, classes and promotions.
